ON-CALL SERVICE

The on-call service is for all Hedwig House members who live in facility-based apartments and all HOMES Team members when they have serious problems and concerns outside of business hours.  The on-call service operates during all non-work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.  It uses qualified, professional staff within the Hedwig House organization. Any of the following are appropriate reasons to use the on-call service:

• serious medical illness
• feeling unstable, severely depressed, or suicidal
• threatening situations in which a member feels his/her safety or that of his/her roommate is at risk
• support and reassurance
• theft, break-in, or serious damage to property
• if in doubt about the seriousness of the situation, call the on-call service for advice
