What is Hedwig House, Inc.?

Since 1975, Hedwig House has been providing fellowship, vocational training and long-term housing to persons with mental illness.  We are a private, non-profit organization working under contract with the Montgomery County Office of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.  We are proud to be their partner in assisting persons with their Recovery from mental illness. 

Our goal is to provide support and assistance to persons with mental illness to enable them to pursue and enjoy success in their chosen residential, vocational and social goals.  To these ends, we operate four Clubhouses (Abington, Lansdale, Norristown, Pottstown), a H.O.P.E.Academy program and provide residential services to over 300 members.

To be eligible to participate, individuals must be a resident of Montgomery County, age 18 or older and have a primary diagnosis of mental illness.  Hedwig House does not discriminate against any person for any reason including race, color, religious creed, ancestry, national origin, age, handicap or sex.

Funding for Hedwig House, Inc. comes from the Montgomery County Office of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and donations from individuals, corporations and foundations.
