George Steinbrenner was a 30 year owner of the New York Yankees. He was known for trades, salary caps, and fighting with Yankee greats, like Yogi Berra and Billy Martin. Sometimes, he could be nice, other times he could be mean,nasty, and cocky. He hired and fired several managers, becaue he wanted the best from his organization, Winning!

Helen’s Hope

The Phillies open spring training on February 17 for pitchers and catchers and the rest of the squad on February 23. The Phillies open their spring training schedule against the New York Yankees on March 4^th and the Phillies open their regular season schedule on April 5^th against the Washington Nationals. The Phillies have their home opener on April12th against the Washington Nationals. I hope the Phillies go all the way again this year.

Many people would like to use the YMCA but few know that disabled individuals are eligible for a privileged membership. You need a Financial Aid form listing your income and assets. The membership chairperson then determines how much you pay for a membership. For example, pay $66 annually, but normally without the subsidy you have to pay over $600. This is a good program and I would urge other Hedwig House members to take advantage of it.
