Passover Meal

On March 30th, Hedwig House had a Passover meal. The meal was open to all of the members and was free of charge. There was a ton of food. We enjoyed potato Latkas (pancakes), fried matzo, fish, and chicken soup with matzo balls. All of the food that was served was kosher and were commonly eaten foods at the Passover seder. There was enough food for everyone and it was good. All the foods were tasty but the soup was most popular, everyone wanted seconds. In addition to all the great food, we also learned about Passover and what it is. We heard from staff about the historical significance of the holiday and why it is such a special time for Jewish people. The session was very informative, and I learned a lot. I think this was the first year that Hedwig House had a Passover meal, but I don’t think it will be the last. It was well liked and everyone had a great time and was stuffed afterwards.
