Pottstown's 2009 Vocational Awards

At the Annual 22nd Vocational Dinner Dance, Pottstown Clubhouse awarded four members with the coveted Vocational Achievement Award.

Scott Weekley received the award for his job at South Coventry Manor where he is an activities coordinator.  Scott loves his job working with the elderly.  He is amazed at how much knowledge they all possess and enjoys listening to their stories.  Scott, we are happy for you and everything you have done this past year.

Jon Fedchak is a working member at Pottstown Downtown Improvement District Authority as a sanitation cleaner and Landscaper.  Jon is responsible for keeping the streets clean of trash and most notable or visible to the image of the downtown area are all the flowers.  Jon helps with watering, fertilizing, and maintaining the 75 hanging baskets and  large cement flower boxes. Congratulations, Jon, we are proud of all your work and accomplishments.

Toni Christensen, is helping HH with working at two jobs.  Toni was a flag waver at Liberty Tax for the tax season and she also is a volunteer in the Flower Cottage.  Toni has been helping at the Flower Cottage since we first started the work project.  She helps with arranging flowers, selling products, and any other job that HH needs her to do.  Thanks, Toni, for all your hard work.

Ralph Hankins is the last member we recognized this year.  Ralph is working with the HOMES Team as a driver for our members.  Ralph is also the go-to-guy for jobs that need to be done in the clubhouse.  For the busy spring season, Ralph has undertaken working for the Flower Cottage as our delivery guy.  Ralph has been a huge help with being able to make deliveries for the Flower Cottage.  Congratulations, Ralph, your help has been extremely valuable and very much appreciated.  (CDchrisdostal@hedwighouse.org)
