Dinner Dance

            On 4/15/10 we went to a dinner dance to recognize individuals on their many vocational accomplishments. The agenda had us eating appetizers at around 4pm. We had the awards ceremony where approximately three individuals from each clubhouse got an award. We ate a salad, had some soup, we ate either salmon or roast beef with some potatoes, and veggies. For dessert we had double chocolate mousse. The food tasted wonderful and was nicely presented.

Are the Phillies ready for the regular season?

Phillies

The Phillies open spring training on February 17 for pitchers and catchers and the rest of the squad on February 23. The Phillies open their spring training schedule against the New York Yankees on March 4th and the Phillies open their regular season schedule on April 5th against the Washington Nationals. The Phillies have their home opener on April12th against the Washington Nationals. I hope the Phillies go all the way again this year.

YMCA Membership

Many people would like to use the YMCA but few know that disabled individuals are eligible for a privileged membership. You need a Financial Aid form listing your income and assets. The membership chairperson then determines how much you pay for a membership. For example, pay $66 annually, but normally without the subsidy you have to pay over $600. This is a good program and I would urge other Hedwig House members to take advantage of it.
