My Job at Acme

In my efforts to get a job after Staples, where I was fired for Chronic Lateness, I spent five months and one week filling out 637 employment applications, and of which was 128 on Employment Computer Kiosks. I was very desperate to find a job in a job market that was much better for hiring than it is today with the present economy. With all the running from store to store at Willow Grove Park Mall to Willow Point Shopping Center to anywhere my SEPTA Monthly Pass could get me to, it allowed me to try places I was told about by friends. Do not ever give up in your efforts to find, apply for, and get a job for you never know how it is going to work out. I started at Acme on October 10, 2003. On November 23, 2004, I was asked to start on Night crew at the Jenkintown, Pa. Acme, this is the fourth company that I worked on 3rd Shift for, and at present I am working only 20 hours a week, but I need 40. I went full- time at Acme in October, 2007, where I was getting $410.00 Net Pay or take home. I am presently looking for a job that will let me work for 40 hours a week at about $12.00 per hour. I have a large history of using different registers, hand and powered forklifts, case and box cutters, laser- radio terminal scanners, and others things used by stores today. I tell you at times you have to get what you can, when you can in your efforts to keep a roof over your head, food on the plate, and savings in the bank. I have filled many applications out to get a side job or new job to pay my bills, but my biggest worry is what will happen to my health insurance, or will I have to pay out of pocket. These questions are weighing on my mind quite heavily lately as I have a couple interviews next week. Please, wish me some luck.
